	Description Upon leaving the White House at the end of his Presidential term after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln President Andrew Johnson gave this clock to his personal physician Dr. Rudolph Knaffl. The clock has descended through the Knaffl family and comes with a notarized affidavit concerning the history. The clock is currently not in running order but can easily be repaired prior to shipping. The clock case was probably refinished close to 100 years ago. The works are a 30 hour movement with lead poured weights. The face of the clock is wooden and has American shields painted in each of the four corners with a floral display in an oval format in the broken arch top. The clock has never had nor was designed to have a removable glass door. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of American history from the White House.
