Title: Handmade Glass Paperweight
|
| |
Description
An unknown glass artisan did an excellent job on this paperweight. The base is a grass green with what appear to be layers of cupcake cups holding a red center. The effect is one of multi layered fluted edges on top of green. It is hard to say the exact age of this, as Chinese companies copied American & European paperweights in the 1950s. This came from a Northeastern US Collection where the owner died in the mid 1950s and this does have some signs of use but is certainly in good condition. |

Title: Cloisonne Vase
|
| |
Description
Cloisonne is one of the favorites of collectors. This vase has a fish scale pattern on the base with an oriental motif of a variation on Greek Key and a yellow floral blossom in the middle of blue/green leaves, and a blue/purple flower blossom in the middle of green leaves. There are no major damages to the surface, the only things that are visible are firing tiny fractures from a fusion of the enamel to the brass sometimes called pin points but these are to be expected. 99% of the vases seen today are modern reproductions, this is certainly not in that category and the detail work is simply hard to imagine. |

Title: Cherry Blossom Cloisonne Vase
|
| |
Description
Cloisonne remains today one of collectors favorites and this vase certainly does exemplify some well executed details of cherry blossoms on a new budding tree. The vivid yellow base area against the blue fish scale design makes for an attractive appearance and the feeling is one of spring and rebirth. The condition is excellent and the only surface inclusions seem to be from firing with tiny pin explosions that result when the emanels are fired to the high temperature. No chips or cracking in the surface. The appearance of this is very colorful and light in feeling. |

This clock runs and is a very attractive faced piece, the sorf of timepiece that you would have seen on your grandfathers desk. There is a good sounding alarm that is in excellent working condition on the clock. Title: A 1930s Westclox Electric Alarm Clock
|
| |
Description
Westclox is the maker of this round faced Art Deco style electric alarm clock. The brass base and circle around the off white enameled face are in great condition. There is an age crack to the white enamel face between the 1 and 2 of the face, otherwise, it seems to be intact. The second hand sweeps around in an almost hypnotizing motion and the hands of the face have an unusual circle in the smaller portion of the hour section. The clock seems to be in good working order and for a retro or vintage buyer would offer a useful timepiece for a room or office. |

Title: 20th Century Book or Letter Stationery Holder
|
| |
Description
Invades Paris Leather Book cover, or possibly for letter paper, this has either an embossed or raised image on the front of the Invalides of Paris. At some point someone has put take across the top the dome and the resulting mark is visible in the surface of the photo, but leather cream has caused this to vanish. There is a possible book mark in leather on the inside that is attached and obviously original and a spot for either a pen or opener for letters. It is hard to say what the exact use of this would be, but the back of this has a wood finish in the leather that is interesting. The interior is cloth lined and in good condition. |
