Description Pure Art Nouveau style with all exterior brass case, there is a stylized garland or wreath around the half circled top, raised brass numbers for the face, rosette circles on the front and what almost appears to be bell flowers on each side of the beveled glass center front, beveled glass end panels, all beveled glass intact, graduated base with beaded design around the edges of the base, the interior of the back brass panel has a figure seated under a tree with animals and a sunburst or ray in the background. The works are signed Lenzkirch/1 Million/71/581925, and would appear to date from 1880 to 1885 from the markings. The clock needs a good cleaning and key, nothing appears to be missing or broken and even the back is intact. 14 3/4 inches tall by 7 7/8 inches wide at the base and 4 inches deep. This is a most unusual clock, nothing like this is shown on the extensive website for the old Lenzkirch Company. It has descended through an old German family of New York Bankers.
